March 31st to April 11th 2005 saw us play in New York for the first time. Although we played fourteen gigs in that time there was lots of spare time to have some fun. Shooglenifty were also performing at the events so some over indulgence was always on the cards. We were there to promote Scotland as part of Tartan Week. 

Pictured here is the world famous Chrysler Building which was about two blocks from our hotel. 

The next night we played at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. It is reputed to be the most profitable restaurant in the world. The event was called Whisky Live and much to our dismay there was lots of great food and  hundreds of malt whisky's to be sampled. We did our best to leave out as few as possible in the interest of fairness.

Shooglenifty also played at this one and Iain joined in on percussion in a futile attempt to avoid the whisky frenzy.
