At the age of 24, fiddle player, composer and multi-instrumentalist Peter Tickell is one of the U.K’s brightest talents. His musical interests are catholic and unorthodox, as he combines his love of traditional music with classical technique and also maintains a strong interest in pop, world, gypsy, jazz and anything else that grips an insatiable appetite for new music. This open-minded approach has led to him collaborating with a diverse range of musicians from across the globe, including Sting, Vincent Segal, The Baghdaddies, Mr Mcfall’s Chamber, Lindisfarne’s Billy Mitchell, Maybe Myrtle Tyrtle & Fraser Fifield. He is also a long-term collaborator with his sister Kathryn Tickell, with whom he has toured extensively throughout the U.K and Europe and as far afield as Israel, Hong Kong & Canada for the last decade.
